This logo was designed for a product which had more than
ten years' branding, it needed to be produced in a more up
to date and usable format.
It was essential during the design that there was consitency
between the transition from the old branding to the new, so
as not to lose the industry recognised icon.
Elements of the existing logo were redeveloped, such as the
British Airways ribbon. The globe was simplified from a world
globe to a less complicated and easier to reproduce blue sphere.
